| Welcome to My World |
 As I see it, the creative process is much like a journey... sometimes it’s filled with dread and foreboding, other times with excitement and adventure...
And just as we all have blood that flows, lungs that breathe and hearts that beat... we all come into this world as creative beings; rich with unlimited creative potential… In other words, creativity is our very nature. There is nothing we really need to do... or learn... we simply need to express that creative part of ourselves boldly... freely and authentically. So several years ago, I came up with the name CreativeSuccessWorks to reflect these types of ideas and the work I began to do. Then, on January 31, 2004 (a Friday afternoon, I clearly remember), I was driving in my car and “heARTmatters” was born. I had heard phrases like "art comes from the heart" and "there is art in every heart" ... but on this particular day, while navigating a late afternoon South Florida downpour, the two words “heart matters” passed through my mind ... hm-m-m... interesting ... heart matters ... and then there it was again... heARTmatters... and then again and again... and I could see the word ART in capitals, rising out of the heART just as you see it here. By the time I reached home I knew I had to give the words a visual form, so I immediately sat down with colored markers and paper and came up with a few ideas … In the weeks that followed, I began exploring and researching and I found all kinds of fascinating material about the heart ... quotes, history, symbolism, trade marks, URLs … not only in relationship to science, medicine and art ... but to history, religion, intelligence ... and especially Love... No other organ has inspired so many poets, writers, painters, and religious thinkers, and references to it abound in literature, art and religion, advertising, cultural kitsch, song lyrics, and everyday language and imagery." -- Louisa Young, The Book of the Heart In the months following the “birth” of heARTmatters, my life has shifted into a completely different gear and I feel as though I have stepped into a whole new world...
So, here we are … and I’d like to welcome you to my virtual home - and invite you to spend some time here with me. It is my vision is to see this website as a gathering place for like-minded creative spirits… a place where you will feel enhanced… enriched… and empowered… a place where you will discover the limitless ways in which your heARTmatters...
